ATLANTA, GA- Just a couple of months after a nostalgic Atlanta restaurant closed its doors a local brewery has announced plans to reopen the feel good eatery at a new location in a historic Atlanta area that is undergoing changes in a positive way.
Eats on Ponce closed the doors to their location at 600 Ponce De Leon Avenue NE in Atlanta on October 18, 2025. The eatery had sat at the location for 33 years when it closed its doors last Fall. However, less than three months after announcing the closure Eats is coming back to Atlanta with a new address and new ownership.
Wild Heaven Beer announced via Instagram that is has purchased Eats on Ponce and will be reopening the iconic Atlanta eatery the March at a new location in Atlanta’s historic West End neighborhood. Wild Heaven Beer operates a brewery on White Avenue in the West End area of the city.
Eats is expected to open in March at the location and will replace El Tesoro a Mexican themed eatery located in the taproom at the Wild Heaven Brewery. Eats closed its Ponce de Leon location after reported financial difficulties that began following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Owner’s of Wild Heaven Beer had expressed interest in reopening Eats following the closure and that hope has come to fruition. Owners of Wild Heaven Beer Eric Johnson and Nick Purdy have said in their Instgram post that the new location will feature the same vibe, same energy and just a new home in the West End.
An exact opening date has not been announced but details are pushing for an opening some time in March of 2026.
